I’m Charles and I have been into fitness all my life. I’m based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. A couple of years ago, I decided that my retirement would be dedicated to helping other people my age to stay younger longer. In 2016, I qualified as a REP’s qualified fitness instructor and in 2017 I qualified as a personal trainer.
In the last few months, I have also taken my Diploma in Exercise Referral, so I can better help those with existing medical conditions to stay fit. I therefore understand that the aging process presents challenges for us all. Unfortunately, the fitness industry tends to treat us as if we were all 35 with the same needs and requirements regarding fitness, but this is not the case. A person in their 50’s,60’s or 70’s still wants to look and feel great, but their bodies are experiencing changes that are specific to their age group. The good news is that with specific knowledge, all of these changes can be counteracted. Helping you to stay younger longer.
My Home PT is dedicated to helping you to achieve your fitness targets in the comfort of their own home or outside. It starts with a free consultation to evaluate your current fitness level and then agreeing a 12 week diet and exercise plan that will be most effective for you. My focus will be on establishing your base line fitness and body metrics then establishing a series of short-term realistic targets that will get you to your ultimate goal at the end of the period. This could be weight loss, improved strength or even physical endurance. I mainly use body weight exercises in the programme, so these do not require any heavy gym type equipment.
